What We Do
HomeGadgets.ca is a Canadian price comparison service. We collect publicly available pricing from Canadian retailers and display it for informational purposes only.
HomeGadgets AI Shopping Agent
HomeGadgets AI (our on-site "Shopping Agent" at /ai, and the same engine offered as our MCP price tool) is "HomeGadgets AI, powered by Shopbutler.ai." It answers questions about products in our catalogue using a third-party large language model (Anthropic’s Claude). Your question is sent to Anthropic to generate the answer — see our Privacy Policy for details. AI answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. They are informational only, are not professional, financial, or purchasing advice, and are not a substitute for confirming details on the retailer’s own website. Always verify the current price, availability, specifications, and delivery terms with the retailer before purchasing. The agent only covers products in the HomeGadgets catalogue and Canadian retailers; it does not handle used/open-box gear, orders, payments, or accounts. Use of the agent is subject to fair-use rate limits and may be unavailable at times.
Price Accuracy
Prices are updated regularly but may not reflect real-time retailer pricing. Always confirm the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing. HomeGadgets.ca is not responsible for price discrepancies, out-of-stock items, or changes in retailer pricing.

We participate in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates and others. Clicking retailer links may earn us a commission. This does not affect the order or presentation of prices.

Ratings and Reviews
Ratings displayed on HomeGadgets.ca are aggregated from third-party sources including Canadian retailer websites (e.g. Best Buy Canada) and syndicated review networks (e.g. PowerReviews). Manufacturer website ratings (e.g. Samsung.ca, Bosch.ca) are also collected where available. HomeGadgets does not generate, modify, verify, or editorially influence any consumer reviews. Rating scores and review counts are presented as collected from public sources and may not reflect the most current data. Ratings are shown per source — each retailer or manufacturer rating is displayed individually with its review count, not blended into a single score. Products with fewer reviews than our per-category minimum threshold are not rated. Current thresholds: TVs 10 reviews, Appliances 10, Monitors 5, Laptops 5, Phones 5, Vacuums 5. Ratings do not constitute product recommendations, endorsements, or professional product testing by HomeGadgets. Consumers should conduct their own research before making purchasing decisions.
